Custom framing at Quick Art Frame starts around $25 for smaller ready-to-go options, and most projects land in a range set by three things: the size of your piece, the moulding you pick, and the mat and glazing grade. A small photo in a simple wood frame costs far less than an oversized canvas behind museum acrylic.

We carry over 3,000 frame styles across every price tier, so there is almost always a version of your project that fits a tighter budget. Bring your piece in and we will price two or three options side by side before you commit.

Most custom framing projects at Quick Art Frame finish in about one week. When the moulding, mat, and glazing you choose are already in stock at our Van Nuys warehouse, some projects are ready in as little as two days.

Turnaround depends on what your piece needs. Standard sizes with in-stock materials move fastest. Oversized work, shadow boxes, and jersey framing take longer because they are built by hand. Tell us your deadline when you drop off and we will tell you honestly whether it is workable.

No appointment is required. Both our Beverly Grove and Studio City stores take walk-ins during business hours, and you can bring your piece in any time we are open.

That said, calling ahead helps. Framing consultations run longer than most people expect, especially for shadow boxes, memorabilia, and multi-opening layouts. Quick Art Frame handles oversized pieces regularly, including large canvases, mirrors, and gallery-scale artwork. There is no single number that covers every case, because the limit depends on the moulding strength, the glazing type, and how the finished piece will hang.

Bring your measurements or the piece itself into either store. A design consultant will walk you through which mouldings can carry that weight, whether acrylic makes more sense than glass at that scale, and how the piece should be mounted on your wall. This is one conversation that goes much better in person than over the phone.

Conservation glass blocks UV light to slow fading, while museum acrylic blocks up to 99% of UV and weighs a fraction of what glass does at the same size. Acrylic is the safer choice for large pieces and for anywhere a falling pane would be dangerous.
